Hide Menu DA Version 1.0 © 1990 Yuval Fisher. yfisher@ucsd.bitnet.
This DA allows the menu bar to be hidden and shown. It is useful for
viewing GIF files which properly fit on the screen only when the
menu bar is hidden.
The DA window contains four buttons :
Kill Menu - Completely eliminates the menu bar. You can still use
command keys, but the menu is gone. If you close the
DA in this mode, you may not be able to get the menu
bar back (unless the currently running application
can quit to the finder with Clover-Q).
Hide Menu - Hides the menu bar, but it is still there. If you drag a
window so that its drag bar is where the menu bar
was, you will not be able to drag it back, since the
menu bar still thinks it is there. Use the Kill Menu
button to temporarily eliminate the menu bar, if
you need to drag the window back.
Show Menu - Redisplays the menu bar.
About - An about box.
